JEFF BAILEY
I have gained a deeper understanding of the roots and original intent of the practice, which has led to the development and evolution of Avita Yoga®. This is a practice of inner self-reflection that uses physical shapes and movements, sometimes demanding and sometimes passive, to access the healing power of the body and mind. In addition to the amazing physical benefits, Avita Yoga® embraces the Perennial Philosophy inspired by Neo Vedanta and popularized by Aldous Huxley in his book by the same name. It’s all-inclusive approach can be summed up with the following three attributes:
- There is a constant Truth that transcends a world of constant change.
- This Truth is available to all.
- It is the purpose of a lifetime to discover It.
To experience the power and presence of our shared Truth is the undoing of all inner conflict, which is the only way outer conflict will ever be resolved.
What better goal could there be? It’s what makes Avita Yoga® the yoga of a lifetime, for a lifetime.
I have always had an appreciation for the introspective power of yoga as a healing meditation – an element that naturally finds its way into my classes. I have found that with a curious and self-forgiving approach, yoga can heal almost anything if we are willing to use life’s challenges to get closer to the healing power of mind and body.
